The shape<\/strong> of the light guide is thus variable and by no means limited to purely rectangular or round applications.<\/p>\n

In addition, the light guides are not limited to purely planar applications, but can be thermally formed<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In addition to diffuse light emission<\/strong>, targeted outcoupling structures<\/strong> can also be used, which produce a defined light distribution<\/strong> directly from the light guide.<\/p>\n

The material thicknes<\/strong>s of the light guides is almost arbitrary and ranges from 0.1 to 0.5mm for foils and from 1 to 20mm for sheets.<\/p>\n

The structure sizes<\/strong> themselves start at 3-5\u00b5m and range up to 100\u00b5m depending on the manufacturing process and geometry.
